Chinese Class Level 2:
在"Chinese Class Level 1"基础上有针对性地培养孩子中文学习兴趣。要求掌握汉字的基本结构，培养独立阅读的兴趣和能力。巩固汉语拼音知识。要求能够运用中文语句完成具体的实用会话和书写。

Chinese Class Level 3:
针对有汉语背景家庭K-1年级年龄的儿童。通过课文、有趣的绘本故事、游戏、儿歌等方式，结合日常生活环境来认识汉字，培养、巩固中文语感。介绍汉语拼音。以兴趣为主导，为中文听说读写能力打基础，培养良好的阅读及学习习惯。		Mrs.

Chinese Class Level 4
该课程设计强化学生读写能力，适当增多书写练习，要求熟练掌握汉字结构并能独立阅读达标。训练分析和理解课文与课外阅读资料，要求学生有逻辑地用中文口头表达和简单的段落书写。根据个体能力有针对性地推荐课外读物，促进主动阅读，增大阅读量。

该课程结合中国传统文化和历史帮助学生深入学习中文。在教材的基础要求之上鼓励成语和历史典故的学习和运用。培养中文演讲能力和写作兴趣。

Chinese Class Level 6:
该课程要求掌握基本的汉语独立阅读和写作。流利运用简体中文书写，进一步练习中文打字技巧。适当引入标准化汉语考试内容，全方位培养学生的听、说、读、写能力。

该课程强化阅读与写作的应用。巩固基础知识，进一步扩大阅读范围。引进汉语标准考试题型，提高阅读理解能力。鼓励和引进教材外的阅读，带领学生分析文学作品并让学生有机会独立思考，自由表达见解和感受。

Chinese Speaking I:
This 1 hour speaking class is geared towards students whose parents are not native Chinese speakers and who have very little to no knowledge of the Chinese language. The class will focus on listening comprehension and speaking, and will also introduce pinyin & simplified Chinese characters.		Mrs.

Chinese Speaking II:
This 1 hour speaking class is geared towards students whose parents are not native Chinese speakers and who have completed Chinese Speaking I. The class will focus on listening comprehension and speaking, will also practice pinyin and Chinese characters recognition.		Mrs.

Chinese Speaking III:
This 1.5 hour speaking class is geared towards students whose parents are not native Chinese speakers and who have completed Speaking II. The class will focus on listening comprehension, speaking, and simplified Chinese character recognition. Students will be introduced to some reading, learn hand writing of simple characters, and sentence writing using electronic devices.		Mrs.
Hanmei Lin		3:00 – 4:30pmRoom 2
Chinese Speaking IV/V :
This 1.5 hour speaking class is geared towards students whose parents are not native Chinese speakers and who have completed Chinese Speaking III. The class will focus on listening comprehension, speaking, simplified Chinese character recognition, and story reading.  Students will practice hand writing of simple characters and short essay writing using electronic devices.
